A waste

My girls loved Lindsay Lohan in The Parent Trap.  Even though that film was shot so long ago, we still watch it all the time because it is always on the Disney Channel.  Lindsay seemed so full of hope back then.  I mean for god's sake she pulled off an English accent perfectly when she was like ten years old, not to mention the twins part and all that flipping back and forth.  Not easy to do.  

She was amazing and cute and sweet and talented and had her whole future ahead of her.  What the hell has happened to this child?  She has gone so far off the rails that I don't know if she will ever come back.  She is a total disaster or as my Dad would say, possibly a member of the gang who couldn't shoot straight. 

A disaster of EPIC proportions and if I was ever friends with her {AS IF?? and that last sentence sounds about as stupid as when you carry on full on conversations with your friends about celebrities like you talked to them last night or something} she would give me anxiety.  She would be the type of person who would tell you she would do something and then not do it and be like, "Sawry, I forgot.  Get over it.  Whatever."   

I just KNOW it! 

And that would give me major anxiety.

And quite honestly, I can't figure out who is a bigger mess, Linds or Brit?  Although I am going to go with Linds on this one but Brit does deserve an honorable mention because when she was at the height of spinning out of control, she was majorly OUT there.  Remember that time she wore underwear out to a club and then traded clothes with some girls in the bathroom?  Oh yeah and I almost forgot, then let them TAKE pictures of her?  Remember that one??  Maybe she is the bigger mess. 

The only defense Lindsay may have for her craziness is that she was born to those parents.  They have not done right by her in my opinion and I try hard not to be judgmental, especially of the way people parent, but Lindsay drew the shortest straw when it came to doling out parents.

She is an adult now though and she still choose to make bad decisions.  She just can not get it right no matter what she does.  She shows up late to sets, acts like a diva, abuses alcohol, uses drugs, steals things from other people.  It just goes on and on with this girl.  Who I suppose, is not such a girl anymore and more like a young woman.

I like the young actresses in Hollywood like Kristen Stewart or Taylor Swift {I know she is a singer and not an actress but I am trying to prove a point here} who seem, and I say seem because I honestly have no idea other than what I read or don't read about in the paper, to make smart choices and conduct themselves in a manner that warrants respect.  And most importantly their focus is on their craft which is the whole reason they are famous to begin with.

I feel sorry for Lindsay Lohan.  I feel sorry that she didn't have parents who watched out for her and in addition to developing her talent were able to still parent her the way she obviously needed to be parented.  {Hah, that is so not a word!  Right? Or is it?}

Thankfully, Lily and Belle have me and Drew.

I totally agree with you. I feel slightly bad for both of them, but then again, there are other people who deal with situations much worse and turn out to be heroes and scholars. They've been given the spotlight and haven't dealt with it well. Eventually they do need to grow up and take responsibility for themselves.

You are right, I think when I say I feel bad for her I am saying it very loosely! There are people everywhere dealing with real issues.

Amen, Amen, Amen! Her parents are such whack-jobs. Yes, they most certainly have done quite a number but you are correct - she is an adult now and is going to have to learn how to navigate this world a little better.

She is WAY more screwed up than Brit, I think. Brit seems to be getting it together but Lindsay? Not much.
