Tonight at dinner, Drew was asking Lily questions while we were waiting for Belle to come to the table.
Drew: "Who do you like better Pilgrims or Peter Cottontail?"
Lily: "Peter Cottontail."
Drew: "Pilgrims or Baby New Year?"
Lily: "Who is Baby New Year?" Upon hearing the answer she chose Baby New Year.
Drew: "Baby New Year or Peter Cottontail?"
Lily: "Baby New Year."
Drew: "The Tooth Fairy or Santa?"
Lily: "Santa" said with a BIG, happy, smiley grin.
Drew: "Santa or the Pilgrims?"
Lily: "Easy one, Santa."
Drew: "Santa or Jesus?"
Lily's eyes go wide and she nervously looked back and forth between Drew and I knowing that the right answer would not be the answer that would be most truthful. She took about five minutes to answer, but when she did she said....
Lily: "Jesus."
At which point I said that we needed to get the girls back into the Jesus mode. When they were attending their old Catholic school they talked about Jesus ALL the time and there was something so innocent and beautiful about it.
Belle used to write JMJ on the bottom of her tests which stood for Jesus - Mary - Joseph. It was so sweet to see and I loved that they had so much Jesus talk at school because they don't get such a heavy dose at home. But we need to change that. We need to find a church in our new community so we can add a little Jesus back into their life.
So I tell Drew that we need to get them back into a church because they need to take CCD classes and Lily says, "Oh yeah, Lindsey takes that CCD but it is SO boring, all they do is read palms."
